The Media & Music

I’m not blind to see that the face of today’s music industry is certainly a corrupted circle, why? because it is now a money game, this is the root that is continuing to destroy the true essence of Art in music. This disease has already spread so far that the main focus now is magnified toward making great wads of money rather than focusing toward creating and distributing great music, this system is betrayal to the art of music. There was a time long ago when this simply did not happen; it used to be about true musicians getting together in the name of creating music, unfortunately many generations have come and gone since those days; and now “Celebrity” and the hunt for an “X factor” is paramount to today’s industries, leaving the creative and passionate visionaries far out of the spectrum they should be running. Trackson des cle for the love of money and fame must come to an end!, we may not realise it but this is continuing to affect our society in a seriously tragic way, leaving a generation to desire the emptiness of money and fame rather than keeping a generation rich in infinite wisdom and inspiration.

As we seen earlier music affects all our lives, but now the dangerous fact is that if the very brunt of music is dominated by those who don’t have a “calling for it” then only a delusion can be used and presented to the majority as music which intern covertly corrupts the people. Sadly this is the situation today with this supposed “music industry”, there exists a multitude of “fake artists” of whom wouldn’t be in existent in the industry now if their true cause in life was to create music.

The musicians who are already in the industry for the true cause of art are so very few, In fact they may only be in existence because of what they present visually rather than musically, these truthers have to struggle for their work to be heard under any major form of media whether it be radio or television, no matter how good their music is they will always be overshadowed in the mainstream media by sell outs whom I call “the fake artists” of who blow in every which way the gust of money blows.

there’s a clear division in the industry between those who have born passion for their art, and those of who lust for wealth in financial form, the money makers are having the upper hand in the industry, a revolution has to strike if there’s going to be any positive change as to how the industry works today. I feel it’s mainly up to us musicians to keep the musical flames burning and to try and get through directly to the people and never to reach out to the tentacles of the industry for it is now poisoned.

  1. Couldn’t agree more! Not only is this teaching the younger generation to throw away their life in pursuit of things that will ultimately not make them happy, it’s also seriously limiting our options music wise…

  2. Hi Vonj, thanks for the follow – and I couldn’t agree more with this. Commercialism is eating into modern music, and everything has to have a ‘value’ put on it. Gone are the days when artists could create art to their heart’s delight and for no one else; now artists have to try to ‘cater’ to an audience or risk an empty belly and pockets.

  3. I am a visual artist, and I think this concept holds true in my field as well! There is so much money being wasted on contemporary art that is no good that the artist who is truly passionate is often squashed and left behind. Thanks for the follow and keep up the music!

  4. I have been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all web
owners and bloggers made good content as you did,
the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.
